FORT MYERS, Fla. (Oct. 8, 2018) – Tina Ekblad, partner and planning director at Morris-Depew Associates, recently participated in a panel discussion at the Real Estate Investment Society’s 2018 Real Estate Symposium. The program focused on the issues and impacts of rural land development in the Southwest Florida region.
Held at Florida Gulf Coast University, Ekblad was one of five local panelists representing both the public and private sectors.
An expert land planner, Ekblad continues to grow Morris-Depew Associates’ land planning division throughout Southwest Florida and is currently spearheading efforts to expand the organization’s North Florida footprint. She most recently played a key role in the recent approval by the Town of Fort Myers Beach on the Commercial Planned Development officially known as Margaritaville.
As planning director for Morris-Depew Associates, Ekblad is responsible for creatively leveraging unique property conditions and locations while maintaining and enhancing the public interest to secure entitlements for private development. Currently her project focus is to interconnect public natural resources and private property to establish distinct communities and non-residential development.
