FORT MYERS, Fla. (Dec. 18, 2019) – Morris-Depew Associates is pleased to welcome Matthew Filus as the company’s new assistant director of survey. He most recently served as owner and professional land surveyor at the Excelsior Group in Wisconsin.
Filus has nearly three decades of survey experience, and is licensed in three states (Florida, Iowa, and Wisconsin). He has worked with both private- and public-sector clients over the course of his career, holding positions within various Wisconsin county governments as well as at firms like MSA Professional Services and Vierbicher Associates.
“Matthew has a knack for resolving complex property boundary locations,” said Mark Hatfield, Partner and Survey Director at Morris-Depew Associates. “His broad experience with boundary, topographic, and land division surveying as well as his familiarity with the latest technology in the field will make him a valuable addition to the team.”
Filus is also a certified floodplain manager through the Association of State Floodplain Managers. He earned his Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in civil engineering technology from Madison Area Technical College.
