River Hall
Morris-Depew Associates was secured to manage and carefully coordinate the process of requesting an amendment to the Lee Comprehensive Plan and a companion amendment to the Planned Development zoning for River Hall. The two requests would allow for the conversion of 586 acres of land from Rural to Sub-Outlying Suburban, granting approval for construction of an additional 696 dwelling units at River Hall. On June 3, 2015, the Lee County Board of County Commissioners approved the amendments.
As a result of appeals made by residents and community organizations, Dr. David W. Depew, and Ms. Tina M. Ekblad provided planning support and expert testimony through various trials. Finally, on November 2, 2017 the First District County of Appeals filed a Per Curium Affirmed maintaining the previous decision by the Administration Commission to uphold the Lee County BOCC decision.
